Ross Schmierer, Esq.

Of Counsel

For over a decade, Ross has focused his practice on helping consumers and victims of corporate wrongdoing. During this time, Ross has served as lead counsel, co-lead counsel or on the executive committee in class actions across the country in both federal and state court. These class actions have involved consumer fraud, product defects, food mislabeling, false advertising, violations of wage and hour law as well as other state and federal consumer protection laws. In addition to these types of cases, Ross has successfully litigated numerous individual and class action cases involving violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Ross has litigated TCPA cases in Courts all across the country and has successfully argued motions involving TCPA law related issues in district courts sitting in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 9th and 11th Circuits.

From 2013 through 2022, Ross was selected by his peers as a New Jersey Super Lawyer. This prestigious recognition is reserved for no more than 5% of lawyers in New Jersey. Ross was also awarded a lead counsel rating in the legal discipline of Consumer Protection.

Ross earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was an articles editor of the Brooklyn Law Review. While a member of the Brooklyn Law Review, he published a case comment entitled: An Attempt to Pick up the Fallen Bricks of the Wall Separating Church and State After Santa Fe v. Doe, 67 Brook. L. Rev. 1291 (2002). Since publication, his comment has been cited with approval for its analysis by several authors of subsequent law review articles, including a law professor in the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Journal of Constitutional Law. Ross was also member of the Moot Court Honor Society and was awarded the Best Brief Award in a National Constitutional Law competition.
