Mark J. Green was born and raised in Corona, California. Raised by a single mother working to establish her teaching career during the 2008 recession, Mark developed an early commitment to helping others through difficult circumstances. That experience inspired his decision to pursue a career in law.
Mark attended public school from elementary through law school. At Norco High School, he helped start the school’s Mock Trial team—where he now volunteers as an attorney coach—and was recognized as one of the Top 3 Defense Attorneys among Riverside County's students. He went on to graduate a semester early from the University of California, Berkeley in December 2019, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Political Science, before earning his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law.
During law school, Mark clerked with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office and the City of Corona City Attorney’s Office. He also built a strong record of public-interest advocacy. Through UCI Law’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, Mark successfully argued a case before the Ninth Circuit and helped reverse a lower court decision that had barred his client’s civil rights claim. He also worked with Innocence OC, helping clear the names of two men who had been wrongfully imprisoned for seventeen years.
Mark was admitted to the State Bar of California in June 2025 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California. He has also been admitted pro hac vice on cases in the District of Utah and the Southern District of Texas.
