David J. McGlothlin, Esq.

David J. McGlothlin was born to parents serving in the United States Air Force in Mildenhall, England, and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Northern Arizona University where he received a Bachelor of Science in American Political Studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He graduated University of San Diego School of Law in May 2007.

David is a licensed attorney in California, Oregon, Utah, and Arizona. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the Maricopa County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.

Since he started practicing law in 2007, David has focused exclusively on consumer rights litigation. His primary areas of expertise include fair debt collections, defending against debt collection lawsuits, class action litigation under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, cases involving California’s invasion of privacy statutes (Penal Code § 630 et seq.), and false advertising actions related to consumer products.

Federally, David has worked on hundreds of class actions, typically focused around violations of federal consumer protection statutes such as the FCRA, FDCPA, and TCPA. He finds cases involving victims of significant identity theft to be the most personally rewarding, and enjoys fighting for his clients to receive compensation over and above their damages through the FCRA and other statutes.
