Blaine Dixon, Esq.

Of Counsel

Blaine Dixon was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee. He attended Austin Peay State University where he majored in History and English, graduating in 1990. As an undergraduate Blaine studied on exchange in Oxford, UK, a time which would shape his worldview and spark a love of both travel and culture. While journeying solo through Europe, Blaine was fortunate enough to be present in Berlin the night the Berlin Wall came down.  The images of passionate men and women standing courageously to  demand and then embrace freedom would forever etch themselves into his conscience.

After college, Blaine worked for a large life insurance company where he saw firsthand the tremendous challenges faced by hard-working men and women.  Blaine often witnessed families who, in spite of their hard work, were trapped in an endless cycle of credit card debt, struggling to make monthly interest payments and without the money or power to stand up to abusive debt collectors.  Blaine realized that freedom was more than just a physical state of being, it was much more.  Freedom is the opportunity and ability of people to dream, to work hard and ultimately to achieve their life goals.

Having witnessed his mother being harassed by an abusive debt collector while fighting cancer, Blaine discovered his passion to protect consumers.  He decided to go to law school and attended the Nashville School of Law, earning his law degree in 2007 and soon thereafter being admitted to practice law in Tennessee.

Blaine believes exceptional relationships build the best lives.  Exceptional relationships have the power to uplift and transform, empowering people to experience life at the highest possible level.  For the past 12 years Blaine has worked hard to forge these relationships with clients, seeking to understand client needs while walking with them through often difficult circumstances to successfully achieve their goals.

Blaine fights to protect consumers who have suffered injury to their credit scores because of the negligence and recklessness of the “Big Three” credit reporting agencies.  Millions of Americans are victims of inaccurate information contained in their consumer credit files. Consumers who are faced with inaccuracies in their credit reports face the risk of being turned down when applying for a mortgage, auto loan or other credit, or being forced to pay higher rates of interest. Individuals with inaccurate credit reports may even face the risk of losing security clearances, being unable to rent an apartment or home.

Blaine represents clients in lawsuits against the “Big Three” for violations of the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).  This law guarantees consumers have the right to have their credit information reported accurately.  When people are harmed by the recklessness of the credit reporting agencies, the Fair Credit Reporting Act provides a practical set of solutions, including money awards. He also represents clients in debt defense and sues abusive debt collectors for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Blaine is committed to advancing the cause of his clients and has been an active member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates since 2012.  NACA attorneys’ practice in every state in the country and Blaine works collaboratively with attorneys from California to Virginia, Texas and Louisiana.  Having access to the most comprehensive network of consumer rights professionals in the nation allows Blaine to find answers to complicated consumer law questions by working closely with some of the best and brightest minds in consumer law.  In 2021 Blaine joined Kazerouni Law Group APC and is presently serving “of counsel” representing clients in defending their consumer rights.
