Illegally Recorded Telephone Calls By Banking Institutions

Consumer protection attorneys at Kazerouni Law Group, APC are assisting consumers who may have had their telephone calls illegally monitored. In the course of our investigation of several banking institutions we learned that several banks record telephone calls with consumers often without proper disclosure.

Consumers are entitled to statutory damages of $5,000 for each call recorded in violation of California Penal Code Section 632.7.

The California Penal Code mandates that when a call is placed to consumers, at the inception of the call, the consumer must be advised that the call is being recorded. If a bank has called you about your home loan and failed to disclose that the call is being recorded, you are likely entitled to $5,000 per call for the invasion of your privacy.  This practice is believed to be widespread, so if you have had a phone call with one of these lenders, contact us immediately for a free case evaluation.

If you have had a phone call with one of these lenders, or believe that a lender not on this list may have recorded your call, contact us immediately:
