Nicholas Barthel, Esq.
Nicholas Barthel grew up in San Diego, California. Nicholas attended Gonzaga University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster youth in the Spokane area. Soon after, Nicholas received his law degree from Whittier Law School. Nicholas academically excelled at Whittier Law School, receiving CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Reproductive Technology and the Law, and Antitrust Law class. Additionally, Nicholas received the Dean Merit’s Scholarship and a certificate in Child and Family Advocacy. Nicholas graduated number seven in his class in May, 2017.
During Law School, Nicholas was elected Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Children and Family Advocacy. Nicholas was a Fellow for Whittier’s Center for Children and Families and annually volunteered at National Adoption Day. Nicholas also volunteered for Orange County Counsel in the Appellate Division defending Social Services.
In August, 2017, Nicholas began working at Kazerouni Law Group, APC as a law clerk in the firm’s Costa Mesa office. After becoming a licensed attorney in 2017, Nicholas joined the Kazerouni Law Group team as an Associate Attorney.
