On March 12, 2012, the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of California, has preliminary approved a $7 million to $9 million settlement in the case entitled Connor. v. JPMorgan Chase Bank., et. al., Case Number 10cv1284 DMS BGS, and is subject to the court’s final approval. Under the preliminary settlement agreement, JPMorgan Chase Bank has stipulating the $7,000,000 will be the minimum amount paid under the Settlement by JPMorgan Chase Bank and the $9,000,000 will be the maximum amount paid under the Settlement by JPMorgan Chase Bank.
Plaintiffs alleged that Chase violated the TCPA by calling persons on their cell phone numbers with either an auto-dialer or by a pre-recorded voice message, or both, without that person’s prior express consent.
