After a successful appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the matter of Knutson v. Sirius XM Radio Inc., 3:12-cv-00418-AJB-DHB (S.D.Cal.), attorneys at Kazerouni Law Group, APC and Hyde & Swigart joined forces with other law firms in subsequently-filed TCPA cases against Sirius XM Radio, Inc. to obtain a nationwide settlement with a cash fund of $35,000,000, which settlement was finally approved on December 22, 2016 by Judge Arenda L. Wright Allen in the action entitled Hooker v. Sirius XM Radio Inc., 4:13-cv-00003-AWA-LRL (E.D.Va.). The nearly 12 million settlement class members were entitled to elect either a cash award or three months of free satellite radio service. Additionally, Sirius XM Radio Inc. agreed to change its calling practices in a manner to better protect consumers' rights to privacy in their cell phones. This settlement is one of the largest TCPA class action settlements in the nation.

$3,750,000 confidential settlement obtained for a client who was catastrophically injured when diving into a pool of water under the control and dominion of the defendant. This was an extremely difficult liability case but KLG was successful in defeating all dispositive motions and securing this great settlement for our client.

Final Approval Secured in Class Action Against SBS Trust Deed Network
The Hon. Cormac J. Carney finally approved the class action against S.B.S. Trust Deed Network where each class member will receive $75.00 for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Procedures Act (FDCPA) and The Rosenthal Act with Kazerouni Law Group, APC as Co-Lead Counsel

F.M. and P.M. v. Water and Power Community Credit Union, BC515936 Final Approval of the Parties' Class Action Settlement granted and judgment entered against Water & Power Community Credit Union in the amount of $170,200.

Stemple v. QC Holdings, Inc. 12-cv-01997-BAS(WVG) Preliminary settlement in favor of Plaintiff in the amount of $1,500,000.

R. G. and A. M. v. Allied Collection Services, Inc. 2:15-cv-07164-SJO (ASx) Judgment is enterede in favor of Plaintiff in the amount of $3750.00.

Franklin v. Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., 14-cv-2349 MMA (BGS) (S.D. Cal.) (TCPA Class Action Settlement finally approved on January 29, 2016 in the amount o f $13,859,103.80).

Knell v. FIA Card Services, N.A., 12-cv-426 AJB (WVG) (S.D. Cal.) (California class action settlement under Penal Code 632 et seq., for claims of invasion of privacy. Settlement resulted in a common fund in the amount of $2,750,000; finally approved by Court.

Knutson, et al. v. Schwan's Home Service, Inc., 12-CV-00964-GPC-DHB (S.D. Cal.) (Heavily contested TCPA class action; Settlement resulted in a common fund in the amount of $2,500,000, finally approved.

Zaw v. Nelnet, Inc., C 13-5788 RS (N.D. Cal.) (California class action settlement under Penal Code 632 et seq., for claims of invasion of privacy. Settlement resulted in a common fund in the amount of $1,188,110.00; finally approved on November 14, 2014.

Malta, et al. v. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, et al., 10-CV-1290 IEG (BLM) (Served as co-lead counsel for a settlement class of borrowers in connection with residential or automotive loans and violations of the TCPA in attempts to collect on those accounts; obtained a common settlement fund in the amount of $17,100,000; final approval granted in 2013).

Conner v. JPMorgan Chase Bank, et al., 10-CV-1284 DMS (BGS) (S.D. Cal.) (Currently serving as co-lead counsel for the settlement class of borrowers in connection with residential loans and TCPA violations stemming from the collection of those accounts; Settlement of more than $11,000,000.00 finally approved).

Hoffman v. Bank of America, 12-cv-539 JAH (DHB) (S.D. Cal.) (California class action settlement under Penal Code 632 et seq., for claims of invasion of privacy. Settlement resulted in a common fund in the amount of $2,600,000; finally approved by Court.
